• Sun City residents donate more than 7,000 shoes (mysundaynews.com) — Sun City residents rallied this fall to donate 7,001 pairs of shoes for the charity Soles4Souls, filling a 26-foot truck. Fourteen neighborhoods, several clubs, and firefighters from Huntley Fire teamed up to collect and load more than 8,000 pounds of footwear headed to help people in need across the country and overseas. 
• Boys wrestling: Huntley uses neutral skills to build FVC victory against Jacobs (dailyherald.com) — Huntley High’s wrestling team used strong neutral-position skills to storm back and defeat Jacobs 48–24 in a Fox Valley Conference dual. Led by state medalist Radic Dvorak and senior Matt Keaty, the Red Raiders won eight of the final nine bouts, stringing together pins, tech falls, and major decisions to stay unbeaten in conference.
