Ashley Leslie, 21, of McHenry has twice beaten cancer. But the cancer treatments scarred her lungs and she developed pulmonary fibrosis, Modern Healthcare reported. She faces an uphill battle to get a double lung transplant, an operation that her insurance will not fully cover. Her out-of-pocket expenses could reach $145,000.
