Mexican Sandwich Shop Cemitas Puebla To Open in Hyde Park

Mexican sandwich shop Cemitas Puebla will open a new storefront on the south side. The new location will replace Packed, a short-lived upscale dumpling restaurant, at 1321 E. 57th St.

Owner Tony Anteliz does not have an opening date just yet, but said it could “open in a few months,” according to Chicago Eater. Their signature dish is the cemitas, made on a sesame seed roll, layered with avocado, housemade chipotle sauce, Oaxacan cheese, and your choice of meat.

Cemitas Puebla currently has two locations: one on Fulton Market, and one extended pop-up in Logan Square.
