Michaels Now Open in Hyde Park
Dozens lined up to be among the first to purchase items from the popular arts and crafts store.
Chicago, IL - Michaels Craft Store is the latest business to open in the City Hyde Park complex.
The store’s new location at 5104 S. Lake Park Ave. saw dozens of customers lining up hours before it officially opened at 10 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Hyde Park Herald.
The store takes up 20,000 square feet.

“It’s nice to have it,” Hyde Park resident Rebecca Reynolds told the Herald. “I use Michaels a lot, so it’s nice to be able to come a little closer to home.”
