An Open Letter to President Obama: Please Listen to Hyde Parkers

Here is my OPEN LETTER to the communications director of the Obama Foundation, of 20 minutes ago.

Dear Courtney,

I myself -- especially until you arrived! -- never got my emails to anyone at the Obama Foundation, answered.

I am glad to have received your answers to almost all of my emailed-questions.

As the new Moderator of Hyde Park's "Good Neighbors" email-Google-Forum ... I am wondering if you can set up either a Zoom or an In Person meeting, to which any of the 1,280 Members of Hyde Park's "Good Neighbors", can be especially invited to attend. In fact, optimally you would sponsor this meeting specifically FOR 'Good Neighbors'!

I just see that the incoming (alumnus) President of the University of Chicago has done an interview with the Chicago Maroon, https://chicagomaroon.com/article/2021/4/20/paul-alivisatos-wants-begin-presidency-listening/ ... the title of the first interview in years by the Maroon of a UofC President, being "Paul Alivisatos Wants To Begin His Presidency by Listening"

That is what the "organizing principle" of this meeting needs to be about: to know that President Obama is listening and hearing ALL of the public's views on the Center ... not just his own or those of his circle and of the large donors.

After the meeting, I'm not quite sure what would happen, but perhaps you would invite one Member of our group -- if such a person exists -- to be part of your group, for the purpose of interacting with you to at least know that you are "listening and hearing" to some views that generally have only had interactions with you ... in Court.

I want to say that the purpose of all of the above, is not to repeat what is still happening in the U.S. Courts. It is to know that President Obama and his Foundation are in fact listening to suggestions from all Hyde Parkers about your plans ... suggestions that heretofore may not have been heard by him at all ... at least as far as the available evidence shows!

Please let me know if such a meeting can be arranged. I trust it can!

And please do what you can to make sure that President Obama, following the lead of the new president of the U of Chicago ... can learn how to listen!
