• Ventura law improving clinical psychologist licensure requirements starts Jan. 1 (wjol.com) — Inverness State Rep. Nabeela Syed helped pass a new Illinois law that will let clinical psychology graduates take their licensing exams earlier, speeding their path into practice. Starting Jan. 1, 2026, qualified graduates can sit for the initial exam before finishing postdoctoral training, a change backers say will reduce red tape and improve access to mental health care statewide.
