• Sheriff says driver accidentally crashed SUV through restaurant in Volo; no citations to be issued (lakemchenryscanner.com) — An Island Lake woman driving an SUV accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes, sending her vehicle through the side of a Jimmy John’s in nearby Volo earlier this month. No one inside the restaurant or in the vehicle was injured, and authorities say no citations will be issued because impairment and reckless driving were not factors.
