2 Teens Shot At Cuddy's Western Avenue Grocery Store In Joliet
Joliet police say Wednesday night's shooting of two people happened after dark, around 9:10 p.m. The gunman got away.

JOLIET — For the first time this summer, Joliet's Cuddy's Western Avenue Grocery Store was the site of a shooting. On Wednesday, two people were shot at Cuddy's after it was dark outside. Their shooter escaped the area before Joliet Fire Department ambulances and Joliet police officers arrived at the scene of their crime. Two people were shot.
Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English notified Joliet Patch that the shooting happened at 9:11 p.m.

The officers learned that a shooting had just taken place near the parking lot of the Western Food Mart, Cuddy Store – 308 Western Avenue. Officers found the two shooting victims nearby in the 300 block of Bluff Street. It was discovered that a 17-year-old boy had sustained a single gunshot wound to the right calf and a 15-year-old boy had sustained a single gunshot wound to the buttocks.
It is believed that both victims were shot while entering the parking lot of the Western Food Mart on foot and on a bicycle. Both gunshot victims were taken to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department in stable condition. Both injuries were determined to be non-life threatening.

Multiple spent shell casings were located at the scene as a result of a canvass of the scene and surrounding area.

Joliet police officers arrested 25-year-old Jereme Foster in connection with Monday night's shooting in the parking lot of the Cuddy's Deli near the busy intersection of Western Avenue and North Hickory Street. Nobody was struck by the gunfire, but the person Foster was shooting at returned gunfire and struck Foster's vehicle, Joliet police said.

Joliet Teen, 17, Shot At Western Avenue Grocery Store
A 17-year-old boy remains hospitalized at AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center after being shot Thursday night at the Western Grocery Store. The boy was shot around 7:40 p.m. and Joliet's Fire Department sent crews from Ambulance 5 and Engine 5 to the store at Hickory and Western. The boy was conscious and alert after suffering a gunshot wound to his abdomen, according to the Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey. At the hospital, the shooting victim was in stable condition, authorities said.
