UPDATE: Tank Returns to Owner After Two Weeks

Tank, a pure bred pit bull puppy from Joliet was missing for two weeks, even though the dog he shares his home with, Baby, returned back home after only a week.

Maria Lopez owns the two dogs, Tank and Baby, a Daschund, were going out for a walk when they both bolted and took off, taking the leash with them.

Tank did not have any tags on, but was is wearing a collar.

On Wednesday, Lopez was called by Joliet Township Animal Control. They had found Tank on Garnsey, which is on the east side of Joliet.

"He has little scrapes or little bite marks," she said. "I'm happy he's just home."

First stop on the way home was at Wendy's so Tank could have his favorite treat - a plain bacon burger.
