Boy Forced Into 3-Way Sex With Middle-Aged Couple Was Also Strangled: Cops

BRAIDWOOD, IL — A boy forced for years into a three-way sexual relationship with a middle-aged couple was also strangled, police said.

The male half of the couple, 43-year-old David Zauratsky, did the strangling of the child, to whom he is also related, according to police and a criminal complaint filed in Will County court.

Zauratsky and his girlfriend, Tabitha Ledwa, 42, were arrested last week and jailed on charges of predatory criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse and criminal sexual assault. Zauratsky has also been charged with aggravated domestic battery for allegedly strangling his young relative between Sept. 1 and Nov. 1.

Ledwa and Zauratsky started forcing the boy to participate in three-way sex with them more than two years ago when he was 12, police said. He is now 15.

Zauratsky, who is unemployed but worked at the Coal City Berkot’s Super Foods as recently as August, and Ledwa, who was a cashier at the Rosati’s Pizza in Braidwood, remain in custody at the county jail. Their bonds were set at $500,000 each. If either of them manages to get out of jail, they are forbidden to be around children.

In court papers, Ledwa listed her marital status as “engaged.” Zauratsky simply said he was single.
