Braidwood Deputy Police Chief Put on Paid Leave Pending Investigation

The Braidwood deputy chief was put on paid leave a month ago.

BRAIDWOOD, IL — The deputy chief of the Braidwood Police Department has been on paid leave for about a month while she is the subject of an investigation, the police chief confirmed Monday.

Deputy Chief Michelle Soucie, 39, has been with the Braidwood Police Department for 18 years, said Police Chief Nick Ficarello.

“She’s on paid leave pending an administrative investigation,” said Ficarello, who declined to comment further.

A phone number Soucie previously provided to Patch is no longer in service.

Soucie’s husband, Allen Soucie, is also a Braidwood police officer, according to court records.
