The Forest Preserve District of Will County’s 2026 Be a Trailblazer experience is underway! Join today to explore local preserves through nature-themed challenges all year long. You can sign up at any time by creating a free account on the Goosechase app and completing self-guided missions at their own pace during four seasonal sessions: winter (Jan. 1–March 14), spring (March 25–May 30), summer (June 10–Sept. 12) and fall (Sept. 24–Dec. 12). Participants earn chances to win prizes and collectible pins, with more than $15,000 in prizes donated by 30-plus local businesses and sponsorship support from The Nature Foundation of Will County. The free program is open to all ages and encourages people to get outside, explore new preserves and experience nature in every season.
