Chip Thief Bothered People at Subway, Pizza Hut & Walgreens: Cops
The stolen chips were recovered, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A thief’s bid to make off with a bag of chips was foiled when he stuck around to bother people at several stores in a Collins Street strip mall, police said.
Omar Israel, 48, snatched the chips from Subway, where he also harassed customers and argued with workers about 7 p.m. Thursday, police said.
Israel reportedly left the Subway and walked over to Pizza Hut, where he allegedly threatened customers and employees.

His work there done, Israel then moved on to Walgreens, where he bothered workers and walked between cars in the parking lot as he asked people for money, police said.
The cops showed up and Israel struggled with them when he was arrested, police said. The stolen chips were reportedly recovered once Israel was in custody.

Israel has 16 prior larceny arrests and was convicted four times, police said, and he has five burglary arrests that led to four convictions.
Israel was taken to the Will County jail.
