Christmas is Over — Get Rid of Your Tree Already
Here's when to put your tree out if you want the city to take it away.

JOLIET, IL — Did you get a real tree for Christmas? That’s nice. But Christmas is over now. You should probably think about throwing it out.
The City of Joliet suggests putting your tree out in one piece — as long as it’s no longer than five feet — at your regular garbage pickup location on your regular garbage day.
If your tree is longer than five feet, the city wants you to cut it in half.
