Concrete Is Falling From Joliet's Train Bridge, Street Closed Now
The Joliet Police Department made the announcement late on Saturday night.

JOLIET — You will no longer to be able to travel from Joliet's City Hall or the Joliet Police Department over to McDonough Street to take the McDonough Street Bridge because concrete chunks are falling from the railroad bridge viaduct on Des Plaines Street.
The Joliet Police made the announcement on Saturday night. The railroad viaduct is expected to remain closed for several days, for sure through the rest of the weekend.
Des Plaines Street is closed at the railroad bridge near Marion Street due to falling concrete from the bridge, Joliet police advised.
