Shooting In Crest Hill: 53-Year-Old Man Suffers Gunshot Wound

CREST HILL, IL — The Crest Hill Police Department said a 53-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound early Thursday evening, and another person has been detained by the Crest Hill police.

According to the agency's Facebook post, the shooting happened at 6:10 p.m. in the 1900 block of Marlboro Lane. It was reported as a domestic violence incident.

Crest Hill police say they found the 53-year-old man with a gunshot wound, and he was taken to St. Joe's hospital for treatment.

Crest Hill police say a 24-year-old man is now being held at the police station and "this remains an active investigation and further updates will be provided when appropriate."
