Dancing Accident at Yogi Bear Campground Left Woman Severely Injured: Lawsuit

The woman was dropped to the ground while she was dancing with a man, the lawsuit said.

JOLIET, IL — A dancing accident at a Yogi Bear campground left a woman severely injured, according to a lawsuit filed in Will County court.

Melanee Morse was badly hurt while dancing with Kirk Schlosser during an August 2014 event at O’Connell’s Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp Resort, the lawsuit said.

Schlosser lifted Morse off her feet during their dance, the suit said, and “while swinging her, lost his grip and dropped” her.

Morse initially sued Schlosser in Cook County but the lawsuit was moved down to Joliet last week.

O’Connell’s Yogi Bear Jellystone Park Camp Resort is in the Lee County town of Amboy. Morse and Schlosser were attending an unspecified event at the time of the dancing mishap, the suit said.
