DirecTV Guy Turns Tables on Would-Be Robbers

JOLIET, IL — A DirecTV worker turned the tables on three men who tried to menace — and possibly rob — him while he was removing a ladder from his work van.

Two of the three men walked up on the worker while he was grabbing the ladder from his van Feb. 11 on Caroline Drive near Galena Drive.

One of the men stayed near the back of the van while the other jammed something into the worker’s ribs and told him not to move.

“The employee then grabbed a power drill, turned around and stated, ‘What do you mean!’” police said.

The two men then made a run for it and jumped into a waiting sport utility vehicle. A third man was already behind the wheel and he drove them away.
