ER Patient Exposed His Penis, Grabbed Woman Around Waist: Cops

JOLIET, IL — A patient in the Presence St. Joseph Medical Center emergency room exposed his penis to a female staffer, then grabbed her around the waist and wouldn’t let her go, police said.

Early Monday afternoon, Carl Williamson, 31, walked from an ER room into the hallway and caught sight of a patient access representative, police said. When Williamson spotted the 33-year-old woman, he allegedly exposed his penis, then grabbed her around the waist.

Williamson only let go after other St. Joe’s workers rushed to the woman’s assistance and removed him, police said.

Officers were unable to speak with Williamson that day because he was medicated, police said, but did view surveillance video, which corroborated the woman’s account.

Williamson spent three more days in the hospital, where he received unspecified treatment. On Thursday afternoon, the police were reportedly told Williamson was ready to go, and he was taken to the Will County jail.
