Fatal Crash on I-55 — Shorewood Man Killed in Rollover Wreck
The 23-year-old driver was thrown from his rolling car.
TROY TOWNSHIP — A young man from Shorewood was killed in a Friday night rollover wreck on Interstate 55.
Ricardo Calderon, 23, was heading north on I-55 when rolled his car and was ejected from the vehicle about 11:15 p.m. near the junction with Interstate 80.
Calderon was taken to Presence St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet. He had reportedly suffered irreversible brain damage and was placed on a ventilator.

Calderon was pronounced deceased in the St. Joseph Intensive Care Unit shortly before 9 a.m. Saturday.
Speed and alcohol factored into the crash, police said.
