Fleeing Fugitive was Carrying Coke in His Sock: Cops
The wanted man ran from the cops and turned out to have a couple baggies of cocaine, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A wanted man made a run for it outside the Wal-Mart on Route 59 and turned out to be carrying a couple baggies of cocaine after he was caught, police said.
The law received an anonymous tip of a reckless, possibly intoxicated driver about 1:30 a.m. Saturday. The same tipster reportedly called a second time and told of the car pulling up to the Wal-Mart gas pumps.
An officer approached a man standing outside the vehicle, but while they were talking, the man, 24-year-old Nicholas Turbeville, made a run for it, police said.

Turbeville headed for the Wal-Mart store, police said, but when he reached it, gave up running and surrendered.
Turbeville had warrants for his arrest charging him with trespassing and failing to appear in court for a burglary case, police said.

Turbeville was reportedly taken into custody and transported to the west side station. While he was being processed there, police said, a baggie of cocaine fell out of his sock and a second baggie later fell from an unknown location on his person.
Turbeville was then taken to the Will County jail.
