Her luck ran out when the cops showed up, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A Lockport woman left her kid in the car while she gambled at a Joliet gaming place, police said.

Officers responding to a call of a child left in a car parked outside Betty’s Gaming — “Your neighborhood place to play slots and video poker!” — on Caton Farm Road shortly before 9 p.m. Friday found a 12-year-old alone in a Dodge Durango, police said.

The officers reportedly went inside Betty’s and located the boy’s mother, 35-year-old Tracy Fotsis. Fotsis was at a gambling machine, police said, and she was issued a citation.
