SHOREWOOD, IL — If you are looking for a great place to relax and enjoy the wonders of nature in the Joliet area, Hammel Woods is one of my favorites spots around. I prefer to use the Route 59 entrance near the Holy Family Catholic Church, rather than the Black Road entrance.

Now is the perfect time of year to appreciate the beauty of Mother Nature at Hammel Woods.
