'Ill-Tempered' Customer Sprays Anthony’s Parking Lot With Bullets

He fired in the air and then shot at the bar, police said.

JOLIET, IL — Bullets flew during a fight in the parking lot of a bar near the Louis mall over the weekend, but no one was killed or injured.

A 5-foot-7 man wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and possibly sporting a goatee pulled a pistol during the 12:30 a.m. parking lot altercation outside Anthony’s Restaurant & Pub and fired into the air, police said. The man ran to a waiting car but — before getting in and taking off — squeezed off several more shots. The car then sped away, heading in the direction of the Ashley Furniture HomeStore.

The gunman was with two other guys who were also wearing hooded sweatshirts, police said.
