Joliet Man Shot in Leg on the Hill
The man was walking in the Fairmont projects when he was shot in the calf.

A Joliet man was shot in the calf as he walked in the Fairmont projects early Wednesday.
Officers sent to Englewood Avenue near Cardinal Lane about 12:15 a.m. found no sign of a crime but soon learned a 21-year-old man was at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox with a bullet wound to his calf.
Officers met with the man at the hospital and he told them he was walking along when he heard gunshots and was hit in the calf.
