Joliet Stalker In Will Co. Jail For 4th Time In 2024: Police
Panagiotis Sakitjakis, 70, of the 900 block of Cora Street, is back in county jail. All of his stalking charges originate on Cora Street.

JOLIET — For the fourth time since February, 70-year-old Joliet resident Panagiotis Sakitjakis finds himself behind bars at the Will County Jail on stalking charges. All of his criminal charges from the Joliet Police Department surround allegations of violation of a stalking no contact order involving two of his next door neighbors on Cora Street.
In Wednesday's latest incident, Sakijakis was also arrested for the charge of obstructing a police officer. Joliet Patch has written numerous crime stories about Sakitjakis this year.
Sakitjakis, who resides in the 900 block of Cora Street, has been involved in a long-standing dispute with his next-door neighbors, a 51-year-old woman and her 47-year-old husband, according to court records.

Joliet Police Spokesman Dwayne English said at 12:50 p.m., officers responded to a house in the 900 block of Cora Street for a violation of a stalking no contact order.
Officers learned that Sakitjakis was listed as a respondent in a stalking no contact order following past issues with his neighbors, who were listed as a protected address.

It was determined that Sakitjakis was seen putting an unknown item through a fence that separates his property and the protected address and knocking over wooden pallets that the victim had leaned against the inside of their fence, English said.
Officers made contact with Sakitjakis at his house and he was placed into custody following a brief struggle with Joliet police. According to English, Sakitjakis attempted to pull his hands and body away from them.
