Man Charged With Possession Of Stolen Vehicle: Joliet Police
Joliet police officers on patrol found the stolen vehicle parked unoccupied in the parking lot of Red Roof Inn at 1750 McDonough Street.

JOLIET — This week, Joliet police captured 23-year-old Joseph Hernandez, this time putting him in the Will County Jail for possessing a stolen vehicle, the arrest logs show.
On May 20, at 7:16 a.m., officers responded to a house in the 0-50 block of St. Joseph Avenue for a report of a stolen vehicle. The victim’s Dodge Journey was stolen from the street in front of the residence sometime between 7 p.m. on May 19, and 7 a.m. the next morning. It was believed that the vehicle was left unlocked with the keys inside.
On May 21, at 12:50 a.m., officers on patrol found the stolen vehicle parked unoccupied in the parking lot of Red Roof Inn at 1750 McDonough Street.

Officers developed information that a man had previously driven the stolen Dodge Journey, and he was in a guest room at the hotel. The male was identified as Hernandez, and he was placed into custody without incident after emerging from the guest room a short time later.
In February, Joliet Patch ran another crime story about Hernandez, revealing that for the fourth time since September, the 23-year-old Hosmer Street resident has been booked into the Will County Jail. That arrest happened on a Friday morning in the 400 block of Buell Avenue.
