Lady A Puts Taste of Joliet In The Major Leagues For Concerts: D'Arcy

There was no let-up in crowd size for Saturday night's concert featuring Lady A, who dazzled the crowd from 8 p.m. to 9:15 p.m.

JOLIET —Approximately 50,000 people have attended Taste of Joliet over the past two days. Friday's crowd was wowed by the performance of the Goo Goo Dolls. On Saturday night, there was no let down in terms of crowd enthusiasm and the attendance was just as impressive.

On Friday, Joliet Mayor Terry D'Arcy said approximately 25,000 people were on hand for the Goo Goo Dolls concert.

Then on Saturday night, Joliet Patch interviewed Joliet's mayor minutes after Taste of Joliet gave Lady A a thunderous ovation. Lady A thanked Joliet's audience several times for giving such a warm reaction to their live music.

Country Night is always king at the Taste of Joliet, and Lady A's performance will be remembered by concertgoers for years to come.

D'Arcy said he didn't see any difference in Saturday night's crowd size for Lady A compared to Friday night's Goo Goo Dolls attendance.

In addition to compiling multiple Facebook Live videos for most of Saturday evening's performances, Joliet Patch compiled about 25 photos to capture another proud moment for Joliet. These photos showcase Joliet's ability to draw world-class music talent and garner more positive attention that continues to build hometown pride for the third-largest city in Illinois.

Sunday marks the Taste of Joliet's Hispanic Music Lineup, which will be headlined by Huracanes Del Norte taking the stage early in the evening.

Last year's Hispanic music event drew an estimated 10,000 people to the Taste of Joliet.
