JOLIET — One of the expectations of dining at a restaurant is that you are obligated to pay the bill for your meal. But things did not go that way this week at the Los Comales restaurant on Collins Street and that's why Joliet police were called to arrest 31-year-old customer Junior Villa-Lozano, the arrest reports show.

Villa was later released on a Notice to Appear on charges of theft of services. However, he did not get to walk home from the police station. Instead, he was taken to the Will County Jail for having an outstanding warrant out for his arrest.

On Tuesday, at 10:20 p.m., Joliet police responded to the Los Comales restaurant at 510 Collin for a man refusing to pay his food bill.

According to police, officers determined that Villa-Lozano had ordered food and drink, and his bill totaled $20.50. Villa-Lozano grew upset at the restaurant employees and repeatedly refused to pay his bill, according to an arrest report.

Officers also learned that Villa-Lozano held an active Will County warrant for failing to appear in court on previous charges of obstructing a peace officer, police said.
