Mayor Makes 4 Picks For Rialto Board

The governor has already appointed one board member and will pick two more.

JOLIET, IL — Mayor Bob O’Dekirk has made his four picks for the Rialto board.

O’Dekirk selected Donnie Chestnut, a vice president with Providence Bank & Trust, Jeff Pierson, a financial advisor and the president of the Joliet High School District Board of Education, attorney Joe Carlasare, and Joliet resident Kathy Trizna.

Gov. Bruce Rauner has already appointed Joliet accountant Robert Filotto to the board. Rauner has two more picks to make.

The previous board resigned after approving a $500,000 funding agreement with the City of Joliet. Mayor O’Dekirk said the city has poured $18 million into the Rialto over the last 30 years.O’Dekirk said he had 40 applications for the four spots.
