Mom Attacked Cop Standing in Her Way of Attacking Son: Police
The mom wanted her son out of her house but he didn't have to leave, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A mom grabbed a cop by his shirtfront when he stood in the way of her getting at her adult son, police said.
The cops were called to the Nicholson Street home of 57-year-old Doris Chambers twice Monday night. Chambers wanted her 30-year-old son out of the house, police said, but he was an established resident and didn’t have to leave.
The second time the cops showed up, shortly after 11 p.m., one had to stand between Chambers and her son, police said. The officers then reportedly sent the son to his room while they spoke with Chambers, but she tried to push past another cop to get at her child. When she was unable to do so, Chambers grabbed the officer by his shirt and wouldn’t let go, police said.
