Detectives arrested the woman after hearing the shocking allegation and catching her with four bags of heroin, police said.

BRAIDWOOD, IL — A tip that a local woman was taking her 2-year-old along when she sold heroin from her car led to her arrest Wednesday night, police said.
Nichole Tsagaris, 28, was allegedly caught with four bags of heroin.
The police obtained a warrant for Tsagaris’ arrest after investigating the shocking allegation. The warrant carried a $100,000 bond. Tsagaris remains in custody at the Will County jail.

County records list a Joliet address for Tsagaris, but according to police, she has recently been staying at different residences around Braidwood.
Tsagaris was taken into custody while in her car, police said, and she had her child with her. The 2-year-old was reportedly turned over to the Department of Children & Family Services.

The Braidwood police have made dozens of felony drug arrests in the past year, with Tsagaris’ the most recent.
“The Braidwood police work hard to take heroin off the streets of this city,” said Police Chief Nick Ficarello, “but when a suspected drug dealer is committing this crime with her child in the back seat of her car, we double our efforts.”
