Motorcyclist Crashes Near I-55, Arsenal Road
The roadway was shut down and reopened at approximately 7:15 p.m., according to the Illinois State Police.

ELWOOD — The Illinois State Police is investigating a crash involving a motorcycle, leaving the rider with very serious injuries near the frontage road for Interstate 55 south of Joliet. The victim was a 57-year-old Channahon resident, the police noted.
According to the State Police: Monday evening's wreck happened at I-55 northbound at Arsenal Road, about 5:55 p.m. The crash did not involve a semi-trailer, according to the Illinois State Police. A nearby police agency initially told Patch that a semi-trailer was involved.
Illinois State Police said the troopers responded to a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was airlifted to a regional hospital with serious injuries. The roadway was shut down and reopened at approximately 7:15 p.m. No further information is available, police noted.
