Naughty List Pretty Short on Freezing Weekend

Hardly anybody ended up in jail Sunday.

JOLIET, IL —Maybe it was the miserably cold weather. Or maybe everyone’s trying to stay on Santa’s good side. But whatever the reason, hardly anybody ended up in jail Sunday.

Only eight people were booked into custody at the Will County Adult Detention Center from 12:01 a.m. through midnight.

The sheriff’s department saw little action Sunday night in general. The department said deputies responded to one call for a violation of an order of protection, four domestic disputes, a missing truck, a car accident, a dog bite, two abandoned vehicles, two medical emergencies, a missing person, a counterfeit $100 bill, a welfare check, a motor vehicle burglary and vandalism at a vacant property.
