Brazen Package Thief Caught on Video Stealing FedEx Delivery in Broad Daylight
He was caught on video, but not by the police. Yet.
JOLIET, IL — A brazen thief was caught on surveillance video stealing a FedEx delivery off a Joliet man’s front porch in broad daylight.
“It was 10 minutes after the FedEx guy left it,” Guillermo Moreno said of the Thursday morning theft. “I don’t know if they were following him around or what.”
Moreno said his alarm system is equipped with a motion detector and that he received an alert that someone was on his property when no one was home. He received the alert about 11:30 a.m.

Moreno lives near the intersection of Black Road and Infantry Drive. He said he called the police and an officer took a report but — as far as he was informed — the crook remains at large.
The Joliet police did not immediately respond to a call for comment.
