Policeman Punched in Arm: Cops

The puncher had been arguing with his father, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man allegedly punched a police officer in the arm early Monday morning.

Prior to the attack, officers were sent to a Stone Street apartment to look into a domestic disturbance shortly after 3:30 a.m., police said.

When they got there, they reportedly found Robert Reeves, 34, and his 57-year-old father arguing.

The father attempted to fight with his son, police said, and Reeves made a move toward an officer. Reeves then allegedly punched one of the officers in his right arm.

Reeves resisted officers when they placed him under arrest, police said. He was taken to the Will County jail.
