Pot Grower Jailed Nearly a Year and a Half After Charges Filed: Complaint
He was charged in August 2015 but not arrested until Thursday.

JOLIET, IL — An alleged pot grower was jailed Thursday — nearly a year and a half after a warrant was obtained for his arrest.
Arthur Turner, 52, was booked into the Will County jail on charges of producing cannabis sativa plants and the possession of cannabis with the intent to deliver.
Turner, a Crete resident, grew more than five but not more than 20 pot plants., according to a criminal indictment on file in Will County court.

Turner grew the pot plants back in March 2015, the indictment said. He was charged in August 2015.
The sheriff’s department would not say what took so long to arrest Turner.

Turner’s bond had been previously set at $75,000. He remained in custody Friday afternoon.
