JOLIET — The Joliet Police Department has thanked the Minooka police for helping nab a 23-year-old defendant accused of reckless driving and domestic violence.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, Andres Chavez-Caicedo of Joliet was arrested and taken to the Will County Jail on charges of domestic battery, obstructing a peace officer, aggravated fleeing and reckless driving.

On May 23, at 11:37 p.m., English said Joliet police responded to a residence in the 500 block of North Bluff Street for a domestic disturbance. At the house, police said Chavez-Caicedo slapped a woman in the face and pushed her to the ground, and kicked the victim while she was on the ground.
