Snitch in Lawyer’s Wife-Murder-For-Hire Scheme Caught With Crack in Braidwood: Cops
He testified about a locked up lawyer's jailhouse plot to have his wife killed.

BRAIDWOOD, IL — A snitch who testified about a lawyer’s jailhouse scheme to have his wife murdered was caught with crack in Braidwood, police said.
Brian McDaniel, 53, was arrested Wednesday night at the Sun Motel and taken to the Will County jail. McDaniel lives in Channahon when he’s not staying at the Sun, according to jail records.
McDaniel was one of at least three inmates from the Will County jail who met with detectives and offered to wear a wire while talking to incarcerated attorney Robert Gold-Smith about the lawyer’s plans to have his wife killed.

Gold-Smith, 54, was in jail in the first place for viciously beating his wife in a courthouse hallway following a hearing for a protective order in November 2010.
Gold-Smith was sentenced to 30 years in prison for speaking to McDaniel about his murderous plans.
