According to Joliet police, on May 21, at 8:49 a.m., the officers responded to a house in the 900 block of Cora Street for a violation of a stalking no contact order. The officers learned that Sakitjakis was listed as a respondent in a stalking no contact order following past issues with his neighbors, who were listed as a protected address.
On this date, police said Sakitjakis parked his van on the street directly in front of and within 100 feet of the protected address. Sakitjakis was placed into custody without incident after officers confirmed that he intentionally parked the van in front of the protected address, Joliet police reports show.

"As I was waiting on my property in front of my garage, he came to enter the back of his house, His dog begin pulling him and he yelled out to me, 'Why don't you and your stupid dog go in the house?' I went into my house to report this incident to Joliet PD and officer Nicholas Crowley badge 198 asked me what I would like him to do, talk to him or arrest him. I said arrest him but the officer gave him a verbal warning after making sure Mr. Sakitjakis was fully aware of the order."
