Stickup Man Nabbed, Tied to 2 Attacks: Cops

The crook was caught after he used a stolen credit card, police said.

CREST HILL, IL — Detectives tracked down an armed robber and tied him to two recent street stickups, police said.

Calvin Bell, 23, tried and failed to pull a holdup on Cedarwood Drive and succeeded in a second around the corner on Rock Run Drive, police said. Bell allegedly brandished a handgun both times and did one right after the other about 10 p.m. Thursday.

Bell later used a credit card he stole in the robbery on Rock Run, police said.

Bell was arrested and booked into the Will County jail Monday night. He was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday afternoon.
