Joliet Gas Station Stabbing: Suspect Sought By Police
Police said a 59-year-old man was stabbed in the chest Monday night and remains in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet Police are searching for a suspect who they say stabbed a man outside of Murphy’s gas station on West Jefferson Street on Monday night.
Police were called to the station in the 2500 block of Jefferson at 7:46 p.m. after an employee reported that a 59-year-old man walked into the station and said he had been stabbed. Sgt. Dwayne English, a spokesman for the Joliet Police Department said Tuesday that police are working to determine exactly where the stabbing took place.
English said that the man sustained a stab wound to the chest and that he was taken to Ascension St. Joseph Medical Center, where he remains in critical but stable condition. Police are conducting an investigation to determine who was involved in the stabbing, but at this point, have no suspects or persons of interest.
