Teenage Gunman Tried Stashing Revolver Under baby’s Car Seat: Cops
He couldn't get it under the car seat so he kicked it beneath the car, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A teenage gunman tried stashing his revolver under a baby’s car seat during a Saturday night traffic stop, police said.
Tyrone Cooley, 19, was riding in the front seat of a Buick Century pulled over at the corner of Wallace and Chicago streets about 8:30 p.m.
An officer spotted Cooley reaching into the back of the Buick near where a 4-month-old was sitting in a car seat, police said. The officer reportedly ordered Cooley to get out of the car.

While he was standing outside the Buick, Cooley stealthily pulled a revolver out of his waistband and kicked it under the car, police said. He was arrested and booked into the Will County jail on charges of endangering a child, the unlawful use of a weapon, possessing a firearm without an owner’s identification card, and resisting police.
The 31-year-old father of the child was driving the car, police said, and had picked up Cooley shortly before he was pulled over. The father was released without charge.
