Thief Finally Caught After Stealing Power Tools From Menards 3 Times in 5 Days: Cops

The Coal City man pushed his luck and got caught, police said.

JOLIET, IL — A Coal City man stole power tools from Menards three times in five days, police said.

Mark Visockis, 29, stole a power drill from the West Jefferson Street store on Friday, a nail gun on Monday and an impact driver Tuesday morning, police said. The last time, a store security guard reportedly recognized Visockis and tried to stop him from leaving with the impact driver under his jacket.

Visockis refused to give up the impact driver and kept going, police said, but officers who had been called to the store caught him outside.
