The Shorewood man is wanted on felony charges in connection with the alleged threats.

JOLIET, IL — A Shorewood man faces felony charges for allegedly threatening both the Joliet high school district superintendent and a Joliet West counselor, according to a criminal complaint filed in Will County court.

Christopher Johnson, 47, was charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening Superintendent Cheryl McCarthy and Patty Sewing. The complaint identifies Sewing as a “dean’s supervisor” but the Joliet Township High School District website lists her as a counselor and Pupil Personnel Services coordinator.

Johnson made the threat to Sewing on Nov. 28 and the threat to McCarthy on Monday, the complaint said.
