Troublemaking Kids Up to No Good in Braidwood: Cops

Two teens shot up a pair of cars and were caught with three others who also could face charges, police said.

BRAIDWOOD, IL — Five teens were taken into custody for questioning after two of them shot up a pair of cars and then were caught with knives and a pellet gun, police said.

The Braidwood cops were called to investigate a report of shots fired on Annadon Lane Friday.

“Upon arrival the officers noticed two vehicles with the windows damaged,” police said. “A witness observed two white males exit a Ford Explorer with a loud exhaust system on Annadon and begin shooting at the vehicles.”

The cops reportedly tracked down the Explored a short time later at the town’s BP station. The witness identified five youths in the vehicle, all either 16 or 17-years-old police said.

Officers searched the Explorer and found an airsoft pistol and two knives, police said.

Additional items in the Explorer “are possibly associated with other crimes that have occurred in the area,” police said. “The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to notify the Braidwood Police Department.”

According to the police, the teens might be charged with criminal damage to property, retail theft and burglary to a motor vehicle.
