Joliet Argument Turns Violent As Fight Breaks Out: JPD
Joseph Balaban, 68, was released from the hospital a short time later and was transferred to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.

JOLIET — A fight broke out involving two men on Sunday afternoon in a west side neighborhood and Joliet police decided that only one of them, 68-year-old Joseph Balaban needed to be arrested on charges of domestic battery.
Balaban is now staying in the Will County Jail, according to the authorities.

At 12:50 p.m., the officers responded to a house in the 3200 block of Karen Court for a disturbance. Upon arrival, Officers learned that Balaban had battered his 65-year-old brother in law. It is believed that during an argument, Balaban struck the victim in the face, and both mew struggled on the ground outside the residence.
Balaban was on the scene and was placed into custody without incident. He was taken to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center by the Joliet Fire Department for treatment of injuries from the struggle. Balaban was released from the hospital a short time later and brought to the Will County Adult Detention Facility.
