The survivor reportedly told police he was sitting inside the Buick with Blankenship in the parking lot of the barbershop. Shots rang out and the younger man felt his ear had been hit, police said.

The younger man said he ran from the car and into the barbershop, and that after he got out, the Buick lurched forward, crashing into a guardrail, according to police. The car then rolled backward into the intersection.
