Wanted Masturbator, Attempted Child Abductor Captured: Cops

JOLIET, IL — A Joliet man wanted for attempting to lure a teen into his car a week before he masturbated in front of a woman who was walking her dog was behind bars Friday evening, police said.

Joseph Pinson, 24, was booked into the Will County jail on two counts of child abduction and two counts of public indecency.

Pinson was first arrested Thursday morning for allegedly masturbating in front of a woman who was walking her dog near the corner of Glenwood Avenue and Mack Street, but was released on his own recognizance.

Pinson had pulled up in a Ford Taurus and called out to the 40-year-old woman, telling her, “You got a fat ass,” police said.

The woman could see Pinson had exposed his penis and was masturbating, police said.

Pinson then drove off, police said, but the woman called the cops and gave them his plate number. The cops then reportedly tracked Pinson down at his Herkimer Street house and placed him under arrest.

After arresting Pinson Thursday morning, the police linked him to a Feb. 16 incident involving a teen walking from Joliet West High School. Pinson allegedly attempted to lure the teen into his car.

Pinson’s bond for the child abduction case was previously set at $100,000. He was also hit with a new $5,000 bond for the public indecency charges.
