Wanted Superintendent-Threatener Apprehended: Cops
The Shorewood man was wanted for allegedly threatening a school superintendent.

JOLIET, IL — A Shorewood man wanted on felony charges for allegedly threatening both the Joliet high school district superintendent and a Joliet West counselor was arrested and jailed Tuesday afternoon, police said.
Christopher Johnson, 47, was booked into the Will County jail on two counts of disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening Superintendent Cheryl McCarthy and Patty Sewing. A criminal complaint filed in Will County court identifies Sewing as a “dean’s supervisor” but the Joliet Township High School District website lists her as a counselor and Pupil Personnel Services coordinator.
Johnson made the threat to Sewing on Nov. 28 and the threat against McCarthy on Dec. 5, the complaint said. The complaint was filed last week.
